Nasty weather around here, it’s getting colder and snow is on the way. Glad I stayed indoors during lunch time, I didn’t need to fight with the wind to keep the umbrella up.

and remember how blessed you are. “

I love to collect leaves and bring them indoors to decorate my home. I put them in my tiny vases and spread beauty around my home. When they dry I return them back to nature. I got these ones in my front yard where my beautiful maple tree is letting go of them, getting ready for the long winter that is coming. I collected these leaves, I gave a hug to my tree and I said thank you!

I made a mandala as well. I organized the leaves on the table and when I took the photo I saw that the light was reflecting exactly in at the center of the mandala. Isn’t it magical?
On Tuesday I didn’t have an easy day at work. So, instead open the door and bring all the work stress inside home I stopped in my yard, took a deep breath and saw all nature beauty around me. The few minutes I spent collecting these leaves and talking with my tree were enough to put a smile in my face to greet my kids.
Have a lovely day!

The new book of Stephen King and Owen King just came out in September – Sleeping Beauties. It has 702 pages! I got it from the library yesterday, and it was in the quick reads shelf, this means I have one week to read it, and no renew! I’m not sure where my mind was when I checked it out. But I couldn’t resist to have Mr. King’s new book in my hands.

I’m posting the photo in B&W to acknowledge Sue Vicent invitation to join the Black and white challenge. I’ll not joining it since I have finished the same challenge few weeks ago. Thanks so much Sue for the invitation and the challenge is open to anyone that would like to join it.
Today I finished my journal, it’s a wonderful feeling to write in the last page of a journal, it’s like mission accomplished! I can say that I’ve changed a lot since I wrote the first page of this notebook few months ago.
Here is my new journal, it is a novel journal where the lines are words of a story, mine is Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland, I got it from Amazon, they have lots of novels to choose from, I bought Alice because of the cover being pink and the quote on it, you can check this and other novel journals here.
Hope you are having a lovely Sunday. Here it’s raining, so I’m cozy at home drinking a latte and blogging.
Have a great week!

If I was walking in the forest
and found a magical portal
For sure I’d love to go back to the past
Not so sure if I’d like to know the future
But the past, yes, of course!
Not only to look at it but to change it
But how to change it
if at that time
I did what I thought to be right
And I didn’t know better
Would I be the same today
If the past wasn’t the same
Maybe it’s best
to leave the past there
Bye bye magical portal
I don’t need you

And you? If you come across a magical portal, would you go in?
I can’t believe it’s already November! This time of the year, more than ever, we need to take care of ourselves. Long nights, cold weather, festivities, …, the perfect recipe for depression. Being an introvert and prone to depression person I need to take care of myself before the winter blues catch me.
Full moon blessing and a wonderful Friday to you!

I don’t have pets, but these canadian geese are all over my neighbourhood and sometimes they come to my backyard. I think I can consider them as pets :))

Beneath the surface
Monsters and hidden treasures
Lurk unsuspected
Awaiting discovery
When the tides of life have turned

The depths of a soul
Battered by experience
Hides many secrets
The waves will wash over them
A gradual erosion

A new beginning

Eternal motion

From all that has gone before

The photo for this week’s prompt was taken at Heysham, on the beach below St Patrick’s chapel. There is als a wonderful old church there with a superb hogback stone.
As always, I would like to thank everyone for their contibutions. I love seeing how many different stories and poems can be born from one image. All the posts are listed below, please click on the links below to read them and leave a comment for the author! A new prompt will be published later…

New month, new possibilities, blank pages to be filled up with joy!
Only 3 things I’ve planned for November:
And you? What are the 3 main things you want to focus this month?
Happy November!
