Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving here in Canada! I’m giving thanks to be here and now, to witness Nature’s exuberance, and for being a student of her teachings on acceptance and letting go.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, being in Canada or not, it’s always time to give thanks!
Reconnecting

The business of life and thoughts guide me far away from the peace, that point of balance hidden deep inside my mind. I’ll spend a few minutes today in my garden, solitude moment. I’ll bring my journal and a cup of tea with me and try to find the lost balance.

Optimism

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

I say: When your garden gives you green tomatoes, be patient, they will ripe, or make green tomato sauce if you can’t wait. Never give up, so don’t throw away your lemons or green tomatoes. I know it’s easier to say than to do it, but we need to try.
Sunshine

Breathe in, breathe out. Let the sun warm your body and your soul.

Today’s theme for Tanka Tuesday is poet’s choice. Inspired for all the beauty around here I wrote a tanka to register it. A little act of kindness for me and for the Earth. Hope you enjoy!

Fairy lights

Is it too early to bring out the fairy lights? Generally, I do it in November when the clocks change, but this year I couldn’t resist, it’s already so dark and I need their warmth early mornings while journaling. Another act of kindness towards myself.
