monday musings

“Happily we bask in this warm September sun, which illuminates all creatures.”

Henry David Thoreau

ups and downs

  • the beautiful photo i took this morning, the leaves changing colours and the blue moon up there
  • the darkness in my mind, where regrets don’t leave me alone
  • cicadas buzzing
  • the sun warming my skin
  • the wind caressing my hair
  • my thoughts taking me away from here, from this moment
  • a new season starts, releasing the past and opening new gates for the future
  • the present is what matters

it’s holiday here, i’m catching up with some writing in my deck. please, tell me one beautiful thing you are doing today.

spring has sprung

in my garden

Spring is finally here on my side of the world. Flowers, rain, fresh rain, birds, Earth fragrance. Nature is having a party loaded with beauty.

The first flowers in my garden are tulips, my favourite spring flowers.

The public gardens in my neighbourhood have lots of them, each one prettier than the other. It’s such a blessing for my eyes and soul to look at them, stop and take a photo (or more than one). These few minutes of pleasure are like meditation.

A happy new week to you!

Monday musings

Finally, I’m getting my journaling mojo back. Few scribbles here and there, but I’m writing much more now than I’d done in the last few months.

I’ve been journaling, almost every day, since 2013. This year I had my first long break of it, I can say a forced break. I’m so glad I hadn’t lost my journaling practice forever. It is part of my morning routine, and my day is always better when I put down a few or lots of words on the paper.

This is my tiny red Moleskine, 5 x 7 inches. I’m using it mainly for collage, and sometimes acrylic painting. The pages are thick enough so the painting doesn’t leak to the back page.

Today I added few magazine clips, words and the moon cycle to these pages. I’m pretty happy with the result.  The words and the moon cycle are from my Right Brain Planner kit.

Have a great week!
