Noticing tiny pleasures in small gestures, like getting these tulips at the grocery store yesterday. My favourite flowers that only show up here in the spring, it was lovely to find them in the middle of the winter.
Have a great Sunday!

Setting priorities and glueing pieces together this Saturday morning. Thoughts turn clear when words are written on a blank page. We make them concrete, we can fix, edit and at the end make sense of what was deeply hidden inside us.

Make a place to sit down.
Sit down. Be quiet.
You must depend upon
affection, reading, knowledge,
skill—more of each
than you have—inspiration
work, growing older, patience,
for patience joins time
to eternity…

Happy Friday!

Winter wonderland by my door
Should I go out to enjoy the softness?

I posted the photo and the text on IG a few days ago. I received many lovely comments and my friends said I’ve inspired them! So I’m sharing it here, maybe you will be inspired as well.

Dreaming of spring Underneath each petal A breath of hope
I found this beauty at the grocery store last weekend, I could resist and brought her home. A week has passed and she is still a beauty.
Have a great Sunday!

Strong and grounded
In spite of being
Immersed into the freezing water

A frozen lake on my way Calm and stillness Life is pulsing underneath I'm restarting my Noticing series, the last time I posted one was in April 4, 2020, Noticing # 75. In this series I stop for a moment, I take a photo and write few worlds about my feeling at that moment. It's something that really gives me pleasure. It's time to reclaim my space in noticing! Hope you enjoy the ride!

Abstraction allows man to see with his mind what he cannot see physically with his eyes….Abstract art enables the artist to perceive beyond the tangible, to extract the infinite out of the finite. It is the emancipation of the mind. It is an exploration into unknown areas.
Arshile Gorky
All long of the years I’ve defined my style for photography and art in general. Abstract images have called my attention while I’m using Instagram, Pinterest, or visiting galleries and museums. I’ve resisted working with this kind of images, insecurity could be the reason behind my resistance.
I’ve tried to please people for so long that I’ve forgotten how I can please myself, my eyes and my mind. I need to do what I think is right and what makes me complete. Art is a form of expression and I believe each one sees what needs to be seen when looking at a piece of art.

Art has a voice – let it speak.
Rochelle Carr
I’m giving permission to myself to speak through my art.
I’d love to know what do you think about abstract art, I know it’s not for everyone, please leave your thoughts in the comments.
Have a great week!
