tanka tuesday – theme prompt: maps

a beauty is blooming in my garden this morning. this bush has a later blooming and the roses are the most beautiful ever.
happy friday to you!

the sun is getting lower and lower each day. the earth is turning gold, and the air is crisp. a new season is coming. i love each moment of it.
I went very early for a walk today, I met many people on the way, we exchanged smiles and said good morning. I could feel their positive energy for the new day ahead, hope they felt mine too! And you can feel it too!
Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.
Henry David Thoreau

time imposes the cure or despair waiting to be healed or broken departures and arrivals the distance hurts the soul going and coming at each far end a lone heart reckons time
a photo prompt for today’s tanka tuesday. i’ve chosen a nonet to go with this pretty image.

this corner in my garden is where i recharge and reset, where i go to find myself in moments of turbulence, when i don’t know which is the path to follow and when the past is talking loud and i want to silence it.
have a peaceful week!

the joy of gardening. i know it’s not easy to start, to work with the soil, to add the tiny seeds, watering and all the waiting. this process started on the spring, and now almost at the end of the summer i have been harvesting delicious cucumbers and tomatoes. i have peppers too, but they are still growing. the art of gardening has taught me many things, as to have more patience, to trust the process, to be more grateful… i’ve been gardening for many years and each year seems that it’s the first year, always something new to learn and appreciate.
enjoy your weekend!

books. i’ve many, my bookshelves are overflowing! i read a lot, and i really like to feel the weight of the book in my hands. most of the time i order the hardcopy, or the real book as i like to say. i’ve my kindle that i use mostly when travelling, and now in COVID times i’m using it more, i’m not comfortable in getting books by mail.
i don’t keep all the books i’ve read, only the ones that really touched me and i’m sure i’ll go back to them, so i donate most of my books during the spring, but this year the donation centres around here have stopped receiving books donations. i’ve sorted out the books i want to keep and made this pile for donation. these books are waiting for new hands to hold them.
And you? do you prefer hardcopy or electronic version? do you keep all your books?
A room without books is like a body without a soul. Cicero

the words for tanka tuesday this week are circled and squared, synonyms only! i’ve chosen wheel and balance and etheree as a form.

it is interesting how easy it’s to transform an ordinary photo in a work of art. i love the last image, it looks like a painting.
which one is your favourite?
i hope you are having a lovely sunday!

the prompt for tankatuesday this week is poet’s choice and since it’s full moon, my obvious choice is a poem about the full moon! hope you enjoy this tanka!
