a special welcoming

view from my basement

my front yard garden is blooming with pink english roses. these ones are a later bloomer, they start now and goes until the end of october, autumn roses! Their fragrance is wonderful, a welcoming sign for any visitor who rings the doorbell.

“Won’t you come into the garden? I would like my roses to see you.”

      1. How fun. My Kiwanis group helps the city tend to about 1500 roses. They were so much more beautiful when our friend Manuel planted and cared for them!!! I spent many years in Portland, Oregon. Have you ever been to the Rose Garden over there. It is the stunning version of what we hope to achieve in our little town. 🙂

      2. Bouchart Gardens is my favorite place in the world. I don’t know about the rest of Canada, but that place sucks the collective air out of all the visitors as they round the bend to see the first glimpse of the gardens.
