a click, a sound
exploding the senses
pencil caressing the paper
just like
an addicting enthusiasm
opposing ideas
reaching the ground

Tanka Tuesday – theme prompt “The Nature of Lightning” – I’m sharing a Butterfly Cinquain about my process of creating a draft, putting ideas together, scribbling, and words floating until they reach the paper, the ground, and an explosion. Hope you enjoy it!
Early morning jogging. The silence and emptiness of the streets, the contrast between the softness in the air and the rough touch of my sneakers on the ground. Balance, focusing on what is ahead and at the same time feeling the present moment.
the morning bareness opens the heart to the soul whispers of promise stop. breathe. listen the sacred each step counts, self-discover
Tanka Tuesday this week is tanka prose consisting of a preface and a tanka poem.
Tanka Tuesday is a taste of the rainbow: to choose a colour and write a syllabic poem. The colour I’ve chosen is red velvet from my precious rose. Choka is a form that consists of 9 lines with 5-7-5-7-5-7-5-7-7 syllables. The rose bush in the photo is very precious to me, hope you can feel it through the poem.
Wandering in my garden this morning I spotted this dragonfly. I smiled! I know dragonflies and butterflies mean transformation, but only to confirm I did a quick google search and I found:
“A dragonfly symbol represents change and transformation. It is a reminder for you to shed more light and joy in your life. It tells you not to remain in the dark or the shadows.”https://worldbirds.com/dragonfly-symbolism/
Isn’t it wonderful? It goes well with my thoughts yesterday about being more in the shadow than in the light.
Tanka Tuesday this week is Share your day, I wrote the Haiku below about a tiny part of my day.
