Wandering in my garden this morning I spotted this dragonfly. I smiled! I know dragonflies and butterflies mean transformation, but only to confirm I did a quick google search and I found:
“A dragonfly symbol represents change and transformation. It is a reminder for you to shed more light and joy in your life. It tells you not to remain in the dark or the shadows.” https://worldbirds.com/dragonfly-symbolism/
Isn’t it wonderful? It goes well with my thoughts yesterday about being more in the shadow than in the light.
Tanka Tuesday this week is Share your day, I wrote the Haiku below about a tiny part of my day.
messages and signs
from beyond the facts and truth
a garden of joy
Hope the photo and the poem inspire you today!

Yes, beauty everywhere! I often see dragonflies skimming above the river. They always make me smile.

We don’t have many around here, so it’s a joyful moment when I spot one.

The shoes in my boat are black with sky blue accents, and we have dragonflies with exactly the same coloring. Sometimes they land on the boat and stare at the shoes, just like they are wondering what is going on.

Isn’t it wonderful how quickly we see beauty and light when we take a moment to pause and truly see what is around us! Beautiful haiku, Elizabeth! 🙂

It’s so important to be in the present moment and not wandering in the past or future. We can enjoy what is around us and that’s what matters.

VeryThanks for sharing this wonderful photo. It seems this dragonfly has the new three dimensional camoflage painting. I never had seen before such kind before. xx Michael
