seasons

on my way today

the sun is getting lower and lower each day. the earth is turning gold, and the air is crisp. a new season is coming. i love each moment of it.

I went very early for a walk today, I met many people on the way, we exchanged smiles and said good morning. I could feel their positive energy for the new day ahead, hope they felt mine too! And you can feel it too!

Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.

today’s harvest

the joy of gardening. i know it’s not easy to start, to work with the soil, to add the tiny seeds, watering and all the waiting. this process started on the spring, and now almost at the end of the summer i have been harvesting delicious cucumbers and tomatoes. i have peppers too, but they are still growing. the art of gardening has taught me many things, as to have more patience, to trust the process, to be more grateful… i’ve been gardening for many years and each year seems that it’s the first year, always something new to learn and appreciate.

books

books. i’ve many, my bookshelves are overflowing! i read a lot, and i really like to feel the weight of the book in my hands. most of the time i order the hardcopy, or the real book as i like to say. i’ve my kindle that i use mostly when travelling, and now in COVID times i’m using it more, i’m not comfortable in getting books by mail.

i don’t keep all the books i’ve read, only the ones that really touched me and i’m sure i’ll go back to them, so i donate most of my books during the spring, but this year the donation centres around here have stopped receiving books donations. i’ve sorted out the books i want to keep and made this pile for donation. these books are waiting for new hands to hold them.

Wow! It’s July 31st! And I did it! At least one blog post per day during this month! A perfect farewell for the quarantine, since next month I’m going back to the office.

Thanks so much Becky for the inspiration and gratitude to all of you that followed me in this journey, clicking like or leaving wonderful comments on my posts. I think that in almost 7 years of blogging this is the first time that I posted everyday!
