Square Perspective – Proteins

After ten days of low carbs and high protein diet, I’m starting to see the results. My skin is glowing and I feel lighter, I haven’t checked my weight yet, I really don’t care much about losing a few pounds here and there, but what matters is feeling healthier. Sugar and carbs make me feel anxious and bloated. Of course, I can’t resist a piece of chocolate or a slice of oven-fresh bread! Instead of eating a full bar of sugary chocolate I’m eating a tiny piece of dark chocolate, that generally comes with low sugar. And the bread, not a full loaf anymore! But a tiny slice only. I still enjoy this kind of delicacy but I don’t overdo it.

Wishing you a great weekend!

  1. Currently I’m trying to cut down on the meat, not entirely vegetarian, but as close as I can get. If it just weren’t for yummy burgers and chicken!

  2. Good for you, Elizabeth! The scale can drive me crazy. I was getting on it every morning and if it fluctuated 1-2 pounds, it drove me nuts. I don’t do that anymore. I can tell if my clothes don’t feel right. Then I lay off the pasta/bread for a bit. Easier that way. Darn those carbs–so tasty!!

    1. I know! I don’t visit the scale much either, it’s so relative the weight in there, one day we can retain more water, other not, so the weight measurement is always changing. I’ll make burgers for lunch today, so I’ll bake some buns for the kids, but not for me, I’ll eat the meat with salad! Have a great Sunday and keep aways from those carbs!
