Abundance of spring Letting go of the self-doubt Bringing dreams afloat

Hello! How are you doing? Hope you are doing well. The weekend was lovely with lots of gardening and cooking. Gardening is food for the soul and cooking food for body, isn’t it a good combo?
Wishing you a great and safe week ahead!

We planted this cherry tree in our backyard a few years back. She was 2 feet tall, a say a baby tree. Now she’s maybe 8 feet tall and she is blooming!
I say ‘she’ because to me all the trees are female. They are fertile, they give flowers and fruits, they are home for birds and other animals. They are always ready to give security and love. Oh! if you don’t know yet, I’m a tree hugger too!
Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food, and medicine to the soul.

Wishing a wonderful May to you! Stay safe!
We had our first snow storm of the year on Friday night. It was so pretty and soft when I woke up Saturday morning. It wasn’t easy to go to the grocery store, but instead of being upset for all the trouble I noticed few things to be grateful for.

It is still snowing right now, I can see from my desk the snow flakes dancing outside. Hope the roads will be ok tomorrow morning to go to work.
Have a great week!

The weather was gorgeous this weekend, I had a long walk outdoors and I was so pleased to see beauty in every corner.
Like this visitor in our small bay. Blue heron birds generally stop by this time of the year during their migration to the south. It’s not easy to get them to be still for the photo, I think this one enjoyed all the attention.

The trees are beautiful and graciously letting go of their leaves.

And the sun took a step back, the leaves lulled themselves to sleep and Autumn was awakened

Glad I could enjoy this warm weekend outdoors, and I cleaned up the backyard and the barbecue as well. It’s time to turn my attention to indoors and inward to myself.
I hope you had a great weekend and a lovely starting of the week.

Hello you!
I had a few weeks of vacation, I went to the beach and enjoy each moment of each. I was surprised when I got home and saw how my garden was blooming, flowers and butterflies everywhere. It’s nice to be back and to see that I don’t need to travel far to have beauty around me. But, of course, I could do with few weeks at the beach every couple of weeks 🙂
Joining Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday, today words are Nature and Clean, synonyms only, so I used Essence and Simple in a Haiga (Haiku + Photo).
Noticing and slowly taking in all the beauty of spring.

Last Sunday, I had a long walk around the neighbourhood, 5000 steps! I spotted this rose bush on my way.

The poppies are gorgeous in a park close by.

During the week I walked by a path of gorgeous peonies. I wish I could put their fragrance in a bottle and bring it home.

And yesterday, at lunch time, I was surprised with the beauty of these alliums in the university campus.

Wishing a great week to you, and remember to slow down and enjoy a little bit of beauty on your way. It can be the beauty of the flowers if you are in spring or the beauty of the leaves if you are in the autumn. It can be a beauty of a smile, a hug, eye contact with a strange coming in your direction or a simple thank you when you weren’t expecting it.

Without a firm participation with wild nature, a woman starves and falls into a obsession of “fell betters”, “leave me alones” and “love me – please” … Go out in the woods, go out. If you don’t go out in the woods, nothing will ever happen and your life will never begin.
Women who run with the wolves
Each day we are getting far and far from nature, from the wild. Everything is so sterilized, chemical and modified by the humans that we are losing our true essence.
I look for the wild in every place, from a spider web in my backyard to the mystery of the forests, mostly in books since we don’t have a forest close by.
Sometimes we need to get lost in the wild to find our true-self!

Getting older and letting go aren’t easy things, but we can learn lots with nature. I always keep the flowers until all the petals fell down. These were the first tulips that I got this year, at the start of February. You can see how pretty they were here. They are still pretty to me, but now it’s time to let them go.
Have a great weekend!
