one page at a time. trying to get back to art journaling, to make it a routine again, not only once in a while.
“Journaling is like whispering to one’s self and listening at the same time.”
Mina Murray

October is here with all its beauty. I couldn’t resist to these flowers, I had to bring them home, a ‘me gift’.
“There are always flowers for those who want to see them.”
― Henri Matisse
The weather was pleasant during the weekend, and we cleaned up our vegetable garden. Yes, October is also a month for organizing the yard. Lots of work need to be done before is too cold to be outside. I harvested the last tomatoes, green tomatoes, I love to use them in sauces or just fry slices in olive oil.

Hope you had a great weekend, and happy October to you!
focus a click, a sound exploding the senses pencil caressing the paper just like an addicting enthusiasm opposing ideas reaching the ground thunder
Tanka Tuesday – theme prompt “The Nature of Lightning” – I’m sharing a Butterfly Cinquain about my process of creating a draft, putting ideas together, scribbling, and words floating until they reach the paper, the ground, and an explosion. Hope you enjoy it!

“Make something great” :: I found this card yesterday while cleaning my stationery drawer. I liked the background colour of the card, it matches my nail polish and called my attention among much other stuff inside the drawer.
We don’t need to make something ‘great’ but can make ‘great’ the tiny things that make us happy. I hadn’t journaled for a while, always letting it for later. You know how journaling is essential to me, and in spite of it, I was letting this habit slip from my hands. Writing a little bit early morning is a tiny act, but great for my mind.
I opened my journal and just glued a few images on the paper. I didn’t write, but sometimes images speak more than words.
I love to find secret messages on my way, and you? Are you paying attention to what comes toward you?
Isn’t this season all about flavours and colours? Time for being cozy and turning inwards, to feel our feelings and understand our being.
Who can resist a pumpkin spice frappuccino during a work break?

Or a pumpkin pie slice early morning?

With all the colourful candies on display, hard to resist bringing some home.

Yes, Autumn is here! Happy new season to you!
I like mine with almond milk, sometimes coconut milk, other times oat milk. I used to have it black, but recently I learned how to make vegan milk and it turned out to be part of my morning ritual. My favourite one at the moment. I add the fresh and warm milk to a strong black coffee just out from the coffee machine.
Just a little bit of pleasure to a mundane thing as coffee making.
Wishing a joyful Friday to you!

Hello you, Monday morning here. Lots of sunshine and really warm, we are in the middle of a heatwave. No complaints on my part, I’m trying to soak up all the solar energy before the return of the gray days.
I visited a garden close to my home yesterday and the orange coloured flowers called my attention. I had to check out the meaning of orange colour. It’s all about energy, creativity, joy, positive vibes …, it is a combo of red and yellow: Energy from red and happiness from yellow. I just love it! And I really need it, my creativity is down at the moment.
I also looked up which chakra orange represents, it’s the Sacral chakra:
Meaning: “This chakra represents and governs your emotional state and sense of creativity,” says Singh. And as such, it’s the source of sensitivity, sexuality, intimacy, and self-expression, says Poon: “Often, the sacral chakra needs to be cleared of stuck energy from traumas and pent-up emotions in order to heighten your creativity and ability to express your truest self.” 7 Chakra Colors and Meanings
Yes, all about letting go of traumas and being creative. So, I decided to start my week writing this post.
Hope you have a great week ahead, full of orange colour around you! 🙂

It has been a couple of weeks since I finished it’s the little things challenge. I haven’t posted since then and I miss this space. The summer is going by fast, it’s almost midsummer, and I’m enjoying every bit of it. My garden is gorgeous, with many flowers and vegetables.

We have lots of cucumbers and our first zucchini, of the season, was harvested this weekend. The tomatoes are coming along.
The queen of my garden right now is the hydrangea bush, just gorgeous. And it’s a perfect subject for my macro lens.

Hope you are enjoying the summer!
A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust.
