Hello, how are you doing? A new week is starting and we are still in STAY HOME mood!
I’m trying to be creative and keep up with few projects. One of them is the 100 day project that I started last week. You can see the introductory post here.
I’m using a mix of collage and painting for creating my art cards. Below are few of them I made this past week.
If baking is any labor at all, it’s a labor of love.
A love that gets passed from generation to generation.

I’ve been baking a lot these days, so much that my older son asked me to stop baking or we will be too fat to go outside when the stay home ends 🙂 I enjoy baking and trying new recipes, love the smell in the kitchen when I’m baking. My mom used to bake a cake every Saturday afternoon when I was a kid. I remember that my brother had already moved out, but on Saturdays evening he would stop by to have a piece of cake. I guess I got the baking gene from her!
Bread and pizza dough are my weakness in the kitchen, I can’t bake them. I’ve tried many recipes but they don’t work. I’d love to have fresh bread from the oven these days and I tried one recipe I got online this week, but the dough didn’t rise! I want something simple, nothing fancy, only a piece of bread to spread some butter on it and enjoy with a cup of coffee. Please, share with me if have a simple one.
Softness that melts in the mouth
I got the recipe for this delicious chocolate cherry cake from IG @silviacollocaofficial, it’s super easy to make, and interesting that instead of butter and milk we use olive oil and yogurt!
It’s all about a balancing act between time, temperature and ingredients:
This week Colleen’s Poetry challenge is Poet’s choice.
You know how much I love photography, it’s a form of expression for me. I try to show my feeling through my clicks. The same in relation to writing poems. I love it when I can put both together: photography and poems.
I took this photo few weeks ago. Hubby and I were strolling by a lake nearby and we saw this gorgeous swan in another side of the lake, they never came close before, so we didn’t expect when he/she started to swim towards us. It was a lovely surprise! We were so happy, like kids when receiving a new toy. We took photos and recorded this gorgeous bird. We really enjoyed that moment.
Today is starting the #100 day project! It’s a famous Instagram challenge that has been going on for few years. It consists of doing some art related project for 100 days. Something simple that you can do in 10 min to sparkle your creativity. I’ve completed this challenge a few times, and I’ll join this year again.
My project theme is 100 days of messy art cards. Here is my first one:
Hope you are going to follow me along. I’m not sure yet if I’ll post one everyday, maybe not, but I should do a weekly recap for the cards.
In case you want to join, check me out on IG #teandpaper or check the hashtag #100dayproject to know the challenge details.
Good Morning! Here are a few pages from an IG art party this weekend:

It’s the journey that’s important, not the getting there.

Today is starting #100dayproject, where we choose one creative project and stick with it for 100 days. I’ve joined it for many years and it’s great to see all the work done at the end of the project. This year I’ll make an art card per day.
“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”
Sylvia Plath
I hope you are doing OK!
Finally, I’m settling down into a routine of staying home. It isn’t the same thing as a staycation, where we are at home to relax, forget about work and enjoy time with the family.
Stay home now, means taking care of the home, the kids and still keep up with the office work. Everybody expects a lot from you.
How can I set up priorities? Should I get ready the lunch for the kids or should I work on a project deadline?
Little by little, step by step, I’m adapting to the new, creating a routine, and most importantly saving time for my me time, where I can spend few minutes journaling, blogging and enjoying my garden now that the weather is getting warm.
