Twilight Stopping each breath The shadows of her thought Reflected by the candlelight Helpless A stolen moment of self-truth Growing dense in her veins Hunting her soul Entrapped

I love the sunlight in my studio early mornings. Both my kitchen and the studio face east. It’s a blessing to have the sunshine in these rooms in the morning, because if I’m at home for sure I’ll be in one of them. Everything looks/feels better with natural light, including our mood.
Noticing # 74
Noticing nature’s beauty in my kitchen!
Focusing on the positive and the little pleasures, like eating a mandarin. All the flavour that will burst in my mouth with each bite and the load of vitamins I will give to my body.
Have a safe and peaceful week!
Just a poem # 3
A Light exists in Spring Not present on the Year At any other period -- When March is scarcely here A Color stands abroad On Solitary Fields That Science cannot overtake But Human Nature feels. It waits upon the Lawn, It shows the furthest Tree Upon the furthest Slope you know It almost speaks to you. Then as Horizons step Or Noons report away Without the Formula of sound It passes and we stay -- A quality of loss Affecting our Content As Trade had suddenly encroached Upon a Sacrament. Journaling is helping me to stay grounded during this time of lockdown. I’ve been up and down with my feelings, but in a way or another when I sit at my desk and start to write it’s like the world is back to its usual flow.
I haven’t done much art journaling recently, but here are the pages I did a few weeks ago.
And you? How are keeping your sanity these days?
Nurt Thurs – Popcorn
“One cannot think well, love well and sleep well
if one has not dined well.”
Virginia Woolf
These days my mind is revolving around food. Breakfast, lunch, snack and supper! What do I cook for 4 people everyday? I’m running out of ideas, seems everybody gets hungry being at home. I, myself, have been craving cake, popcorn, candies, chocolates…
My cravings are showing up on my morning pages as well.
Only this week I’ve baked bananas cupcakes, a marble cake, and more chocolate cupcakes. Lots of popcorns during the afternoons too!
I’ll make a bread pudim soon, if I can have some bread leftover today.
How are you doing during this lockout?

The night sky #Gogyoka
Unlocking the door Feeling the scent of the night They remembered everything Seduced by the stars Drifting towards love
The night sky is the theme for this week’s poetry challenge. I’m sure everybody is dreaming of unlocking the doors! Let’s hold on tight and stay indoors for a while. Soon we will be allowed to open the doors and breathe the freshness of a new day/night.
Noticing # 73
Noticing the beauty in the middle of the chaos.
Hope you are doing well.

Nurt Thurs – Renew
“Perhaps the earth can teach us, as when everything seems dead and later proves to be alive.”
Pablo Neruda

Secret #Tanka
The ragged surface Scarcely shinning upriver Under the moonlight An enheartening secret For all her eternity
The words for this week are Comfort and Worn, synonyms only! I’ve chosen Enheartening and Ragged, and of course the full moon had to be part of the poem! Have you seen how gorgeous the full moon is shinning this month?
