Sunday Stills :: Planet Earth

simple breakfast

This week we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. During breakfast, I was thinking about which photo I should post today as a celebration. The answer was on my breakfast table!

Blueberry and coffee! I felt immense gratitude to the Earth for providing us with such wonderful fuel. Blueberry and all the fruits loaded with vitamins and fibres, coffee beans full of energy, and many other delicious and nutritious nourishment for our body and soul.

Sharing with Sunday Stills.

In a lake nearby

This week Colleen’s Poetry challenge is Poet’s choice.

You know how much I love photography, it’s a form of expression for me. I try to show my feeling through my clicks. The same in relation to writing poems. I love it when I can put both together: photography and poems.

I took this photo few weeks ago. Hubby and I were strolling by a lake nearby and we saw this gorgeous swan in another side of the lake, they never came close before, so we didn’t expect when he/she started to swim towards us. It was a lovely surprise! We were so happy, like kids when receiving a new toy. We took photos and recorded this gorgeous bird. We really enjoyed that moment.

Hope you like the photo and the poem.

Just a poem # 3

Spring has sprung in my garden
A Light exists in Spring
Not present on the Year
At any other period --
When March is scarcely here

A Color stands abroad
On Solitary Fields
That Science cannot overtake
But Human Nature feels.

It waits upon the Lawn,
It shows the furthest Tree
Upon the furthest Slope you know
It almost speaks to you.

Then as Horizons step
Or Noons report away
Without the Formula of sound
It passes and we stay --

A quality of loss
Affecting our Content
As Trade had suddenly encroached
Upon a Sacrament.
