art pages

i joined an art party last evening on IG. it was lots of fun to get together with people around the world and create few pages. if you wish, you can check it using #septglueparty18. I used my tiny red moleskine for my pages.  i really enjoy tiny art!

first prompt: which color describes you? – the first color to come to my mind is yellow. my older son was close by and i asked him the question, he said yellow!!! wow, this made me happy 🙂

second prompt: texture – i mixed up some pieces of paper and added this gorgeous lips, i love messy art!

third prompt: circles & lines – no much work here, only pieces and bits from leftover pages.

fourth prompt: a quote from jack kerouac “life must be rich and full of loving, it’s no good otherwise, no good at all, for anyone.” of course, if you know me, you know that self-love is on the top of my priority list.

august moments

august 31st! already? oh yes, this month is in hurry! i haven’t done much, but i’m enjoying each moment and beauty around me. little pleasures, ordinary moments, simplicity, and gratitude are what i look for day by day.

i enjoy the sunrise while drinking a cup of coffee in the morning and in the evening i  watch the sunset by the river.

my garden is blooming with roses,

the library in my city has many wonderful books, i can get almost any book that i want in there!

my creativity is slowly coming back.

and you? how is your summer/winter going on?

hugs,

E.

Monday musings

Finally, I’m getting my journaling mojo back. Few scribbles here and there, but I’m writing much more now than I’d done in the last few months.

I’ve been journaling, almost every day, since 2013. This year I had my first long break of it, I can say a forced break. I’m so glad I hadn’t lost my journaling practice forever. It is part of my morning routine, and my day is always better when I put down a few or lots of words on the paper.

This is my tiny red Moleskine, 5 x 7 inches. I’m using it mainly for collage, and sometimes acrylic painting. The pages are thick enough so the painting doesn’t leak to the back page.

Today I added few magazine clips, words and the moon cycle to these pages. I’m pretty happy with the result.  The words and the moon cycle are from my Right Brain Planner kit.

Have a great week!

My Art Journaling Practice

Hello,

It is a lovely evening here in my part of the world. I can see the trees, they have a luscious green, and listen to the birds while I write this post. It has rained for the major part of the day, the plants needed it, we had few days of heat and dryness this weak. I like to listen to the sound of the rain, it’s calming, and the smell of the earth after the rain is refreshing.

I shared with you my journaling practice last week, you can find it here. This week I want to share with you few pages of my art journaling practice. Sometimes it is easy to express ourselves through images and only a few words, or no words at all.
