Buttons. My collection of buttons never stops growing. Now, most of the clothes have duplicated buttons in case we lose one of them, the extra ones go to my collection. I always remove them before discarding any old shirts/dresses. Some of the buttons in my collection are precious to me. Others are pretty, and others are ordinary ones that I keep anyway.
I used my macro lens for this photo and I love it!
I kept buttons as a child… hadn’t thought about it in many years, but some of them were very pretty.

I’ve got a box full of buttons, too. Some are decades old, a time capsule… Your post inspired me to have a good look through my button collection and perhaps write a piece… ‘My life in ten buttons’…

My Mum used to cut all the buttons off old shirts and us kids would play for hours with her button box.

Buttons are so cute, kids like them, they are like magical little things, and for us adults too.
