Organic and fresh
Little pleasure
Nature’s gift
Harvested from my garden
Delicious in a salad

Organic and fresh
Little pleasure
Nature’s gift
Harvested from my garden
Delicious in a salad

cawing voices
upon the treetops
announcing mystery and magic
fascinating creatures
A tiny poem for Sue’s challenge this week.

I’m going ahead
everyone has a purpose
to be a leader
or to be a follower
happiness is what matters
Colleen’s words this week are destination and guide.

behind those windows
peace and tranquility
just what i need
right now and forever
a room of solitude
but to reach it
the mind needs to rip apart
all thorns and fences
mindfulness
focus on the roses
You wish I was yours
Add money to the balance
I’ll alter my view
The words for this week are Ambition and Change, but we need to use synonyms.
I’m really having fun playing with styles of poetry, after several posts with Cinquain I decided to try a Senryu for this week.
Senryu in English 5/7/5 syllable structure. A Senryu is written about love, a personal event, and have IRONY present. Click the link to learn the meaning of irony.

Lost in blue waters
I look for you
the lightness of being
the smile
the hair in disarray
I only find
emptiness and confusion
My hope is spring will be here soon
and the winter blues will fade away

Knowledge
Smart, confident
Writing, reading, speaking
Reborn outside the ignorance
Command
Colleen’s challenge this week is ‘experience and new‘, we need to use synonyms for these words.
I think I’m addicted to the Cinquain form of poetry! 🙂

There is time for everything,
The snow is thick now
The earth is dark
But
Tomorrow the sun will rise
A new day
New possibilities
The snow will thaw
So your hardened heart
You will see everything
Bright and light
The words for Colleen’s challenge this week are Cover and precipitation, but we need to use synonyms. Here is my take!
drizzle
freshness, earthly
splashing, laughing, running
make me feel freely protected
Flurry

This week Colleen’s 2 words are STARK & TRAP, but we need to use synonyms in our poem.
you hold my body
listening to your crisp laugh
my mind goes away
beyond these unfriendly walls
to be uncaged faraway
Hope you like it!
