Happy Women’s Day!

The new season is coming and it’s time for changes. Starting by changing the clocks today, this means more day light, more outdoors activities, but the self-changes are the most important: our body, our mood, expectations …

With the Spring knocking on the door, it’s time to get rid of what doesn’t serve us anymore and make space for new things. I’m not talking about material stuff, but thoughts, regrets and old ideas. I try to live a minimalist life style, so I don’t have many things to get rid off. I don’t like cluttering, when I buy something new, the old one has to go out. What I need is to apply the same style to my mind, generally I keep everything in there, and I’m tired of the mind-cluttering.

I need to make more space for the things that make me happy and give me pleasure. More writing, gardening, cooking delicious and healthy food, in summary I need to nest the good thoughts and get rid of the bad ones.

And you? Any plans for the new season?

Welcome March

March is here, still cold and snow on the ground, but the expectation of spring brings joy. It’s like counting down to see the first sprouts breaking through the soil and smiling at us.

The rivers are still frozen, the earth is waiting to explode in color, but for now, the best is to be indoors. I’ve being writing, not as much as I would like, but bits and pieces here and there.

And reading, I’ve joined the GoodReads challenge, and I’m up to read 25 books this year. I’m already in my 3rd one, and I have this pile to read in March.

All of them from women authors about women trying to find her space in this world. Women with different backgrounds (from a math teacher to one that never attended a school), and different decades, but so similar in so many ways. I’ve started the ‘Where the crawdads sing’ and I’m loving it.

Wishing a great new month to you!

Art party

This weekend was busy in the online world for me. Saturday I co-hosted an art party on Instagram and Sunday I joined a blogging party organized by Bella from Thoughtsnlife blog! It was lovely! I met some wonderful bloggers and caught up with some old friends.

My friend Yvonne @yvonne.creates from Instagram invited me to co-host the #febgluebookparty2020 with her. We chose the theme Valentine’s Day, I know it isn’t the day yet, but it’s not too late to spread love, so we decided to do it all about self-love and -care. Below you will find the prompts and my pages.

Prompt 1: Be your own beloved

For this prompt, I chose images that pamper me up, like gorgeous shoes, flowers and healthy food.

Prompt 2: The colour Red

Red lipstick, so glamorous, but I don’t own one! I think it’s too much and doesn’t match my lifestyle, but of course, I can still admire it. And flowers, always the red ones call my attention.

Prompt 3: A quote

For the 3rd prompt I chose Rumi’s quote: “Let yourself be drawn by the stronger pull of that which you truly love”. Isn’t this quote wonderful?

I chose flowers to represent nature, one of my greatest sources of inspiration and quiet moments at home, represented here by the cup of tea and a kitchen table.

We had so many lovely ladies joying the party, including my blogger friend, Rupali. I’m so happy she decided to give a try and shared some awesome pages.

All the parties have a giveaway, so I put together a journaling set for it.

Giveaway: A journaling set

One of the new ladies at the party was the lucky one, I’ll mail it to her this week.

Hope you had a great weekend and wish you a lovely week ahead!

Nurt Thurs – A pop of colour

“Let me, O let me bathe my soul in colours;

let me swallow the sunset

and drink the rainbow.”

Khalil Gibran

For many days the sun hasn’t shown up, it’s grey in the mornings when I leave for work and dark when I come back. The days are getting longer, but the grey is sticking around here. I bought yellow flowers in the weekend, they are so pretty and make my kitchen warm and colourful.

I haven’t joining Nurturing Thursday for so long. I miss it, and I think it’s time to start to post more, to have and to give more inspiration.

Coziness

Nothing better than leaving the office a little bit early without saying/explaining anything to anyone, just grabbing my bag and my coat and coming back home.

A stolen moment. It’s precious because it isn’t an ordinary moment, it’s something that I was craving for, I listening to my soul and said I deserve it, I need it, so I gave up everything else to be with myself. To be at home, warm, alone, with a cup of tea and a book.

The photo above is from the weekend when we were snowed in. Now I’m writing this blog post and wishing lots of stolen moments to you and of course to myself as well.

Noticing # 69

I’ve just noticed that my last ‘noticing’ post was in May! Oh my goodness! How the time flies and I let go of things that give me pleasure so easily!

First of all: Happy new season to you!

In my part of the world, we are entering Autumn. It’s so pretty out there! I had a long walk in the woods this weekend, noticing how slowly the changes are happing, how the earth is getting ready for the winter.

I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.
