Nothing better than leaving the office a little bit early without saying/explaining anything to anyone, just grabbing my bag and my coat and coming back home.
A stolen moment. It’s precious because it isn’t an ordinary moment, it’s something that I was craving for, I listening to my soul and said I deserve it, I need it, so I gave up everything else to be with myself. To be at home, warm, alone, with a cup of tea and a book.
The photo above is from the weekend when we were snowed in. Now I’m writing this blog post and wishing lots of stolen moments to you and of course to myself as well.
E.
I wouldn’t call it stolen, Elizabeth. You’re entitled to it. Some days, you stayed at work a few minutes late, right? So it’s only fair to leave a bit early, too. No need to justify it.

You are right, most of the days I stay later and I bring work home for the weekends too, so a little scape isn’t that bad!

You must be a supervisor because I wouldn’t have gotten away with that.

I’m in academia and most of the time I stay later and bring work home, so at the end there is a balance.

I’m happy I did it, somedays it’s difficult to stay put close by others, so the best is find a place to be in solitude.

I am enjoying that more these days too, learning to be comfortable being quietly me.
