the blessed harvest moon
illuminating my path
she brings me back home
pumpkins, apple cider, gnomes
all awaits for my return

24 seasons # 1

the whispers
are coming from the forest
in the darkening days
it's a word or two
soul's melody
be fearless

I’m joining Colleen in her wonderful poetry challenge about 24 seasons. Check her post here to know the details and joining if you enjoy to write poetry.

I’ve chosen darkening days as the kigo word and the form Seox for this first poem of the 24 season series: “The elements of the Seox: a poem written in six lines, a hexastich, 3-7-6-5-4-3 syllables per lines. Unrhymed.” – Colleen

Be still

Eugi’s image
on an October day
as the sun lays to sleep
i was dazzled by the golden leaves
and gingered sky

calm waters reflects the truth
i crush the leaves and twigs
as the birds says their prayers
i crush the leaves and twigs

walking aimless
lost in my dreams
the breeze caresses my hair
and whispers to my ears

what are you searching for?
be still and listen ...
and in that moment
i swear I was infinity

I’m joining Eugi’s Moonwashed weekly prompt, gingered sky, and David’s W3 Deepthy’s lovely prompt: ‘and in that moment i swear we were infinite’.

It’s the first day of autumn here. I wish a wonderful new season to you, autumn or spring, when the Earth will be adorned with colourful leaves or flowers.

monday musings

“Happily we bask in this warm September sun, which illuminates all creatures.”

Henry David Thoreau

ups and downs

  • the beautiful photo i took this morning, the leaves changing colours and the blue moon up there
  • the darkness in my mind, where regrets don’t leave me alone
  • cicadas buzzing
  • the sun warming my skin
  • the wind caressing my hair
  • my thoughts taking me away from here, from this moment
  • a new season starts, releasing the past and opening new gates for the future
  • the present is what matters

it’s holiday here, i’m catching up with some writing in my deck. please, tell me one beautiful thing you are doing today.

October’s beauty

My city is loaded with beauty these last days of October. I wish I could always be outdoors, enjoying the sunshine and the glorious trees. Impossible tasks, since I work all day and most of the time in a place without windows. I left the office earlier on Friday, yes, I deserved it! I strolled around my neighbourhood soaking up all the sunshine and fresh air.

Walking meditation as I like to say. Capturing all the views and sounds with my mind, and of course, taking breaks to save these joyful moments with my camera.

Leaves on the ground, an invitation to step on them and listen to the crunching sound.

“Fallen leaves on the ground are the golden song of immortal creativity.”

Amit Ray

Have a safe Halloween and a great week ahead!

season of flavours and colours

Isn’t this season all about flavours and colours? Time for being cozy and turning inwards, to feel our feelings and understand our being.

Who can resist a pumpkin spice frappuccino during a work break?

Or a pumpkin pie slice early morning?

With all the colourful candies on display, hard to resist bringing some home.

Yes, Autumn is here! Happy new season to you!

hello

hello! how are you doing? i missed this space. i hope you enjoyed the rest of summer/winter and are ready for the new season. autumn for me. i love all the colours and freshness that comes with it. the sweaters and boots, scarfs, flannel pjs. i’m craving for all the pumpkin spice flavours and fragrances: pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin loaf, pumpkin muffins…., and the pumpkin candles to warm up my kitchen, although i love apple cinnamon candles this time of the year.

summer was lovely. i went to the north part of my province for a few days. a beautiful place with lakes and mountains. lots of kayaking and hiking. i read many books and wrote many pages. the leisure of a summer afternoon in my garden was wonderful. now, i’m sitting here typing these few words for you thinking about the past, wondering about the future, and trying to be present. i’ve a cup of coffee by my side, the morning freshness knocking on my window, a new day ahead.

hope you are doing ok and ready for the new season. enjoy the tiny moments, they are the ones that matter most and the ones that will be our company in difficult days.

E.
