A question for you: If you could go back 20 years ago and change your path, would you do it?

Fantastic, Elizabeth – and this line is definitely my favorite:
Much love,

My pleasure, Elizabeth! 🙂
BTW, please feel free to call me ‘David’ – that’s my first name. The word ‘ben’ in Hebrew simply means ‘son of’, and my father’s name was ‘Alexander’ – I created my blog in his memory.
It’s confusing because ‘Ben’ is a name in English – I’m really sorry ’bout that!
Take good care,
David

Beautiful poem, Elizabeth, and your question is haunting. I’ve had a number of life-changing turns during my journey. I did the best I could at the time, but would I choose differently now? I don’t know. My best at the time might have been all that was needed or possible. I’ll be thinking about this all day! 😊

Excellent question and poetry, Elizabeth. My path changed many years ago and I just keep following the ebbs and flows, twists and turns. Life is a full adventure. We need the bad things to help us realize the good things. It’s never too late to change. ❤

Lovely flowers and words. I’d have to go back further than 20!

Great question and no I would not change my path because I wouldn’t be who I am today. xo

I was made redundant 20 years ago and used my final pay cheque to halve our mortgage, so no, I wouldn’t change that.

That is nice, no regrets. You were wisely lady at the time, and still are!

Great poem, Elizabeth! For all the pain I’ve been through in the past 20 years, I wouldn’t have changed my direction because it gave me my son, and that is a gift I would never return. 🙂

Thanks, Yvette! Yes, I guess there are lots of up and downs in any path we have chosen. We need to pay attention to ups more than the downs.

I’m with Frank. I changed direction 20 years ago, and glad I did, too.

Most of the time I’m glad for what I’ve chosen, but some days the regret knocks on the door.

Good poem linked to an interesting question. Oddly, about 20 years ago I took a chance by changing direction …. and I’m glad I did.

This is nice Frank, it seems 20 years ago was a turning point for many of us. Most of the time I’m ok with my choice, but sometimes I wish I could go back.
