This week’s theme for WQWWC is Freedom. Well, freedom has many meanings and possibilities. It depends on who is claiming it, who is experiencing moments of freedom or the lack of it.
No one outside ourselves can rule us inwardly. When we know this, we become free.
Buddha
This sidewalk drawing was on my way this morning. I was running and thinking what should be my take on this prompt. And voila! Freedom was there to be seen! I stopped and couldn’t believe it! That feeling that the universe has my back. I took the pic with a smile on my face.
None but ourselves can free our minds.
Bob Marley
I decided to go simple, a few words to describe Freedom. An acrostic poem is perfect for it.
Fierce as it can be Resilient upon to the right time Elusive and inspiring Emancipation to the needed Divine in respect Observant in silence Meaningful to all
Freedom lies in being bold.
Robert Frost
And a very fine acrostic it is! 🙂

I like it too, we don’t see many of them around. Glad you liked it!

Ive written several. I’ve mostly used only one word per line. 😉

I started this one using only the first word, but then I thought I should add more. One word would be enough to understand what I meant.

Yes, just right! The universe definitely has your back. If I can find some sidewalk chalk in the garage I’ll draw something like this over my lunch hour and give someone else a smile. 🙂

Thank you so much. You do a great job with them. It will be writer’s choice next week and Terri Webster Schrandt will be hosting on her blog. I hope you’ll join in then, too. 🙂

Thanks, We’ve been working at opening up and Air B&B in Scottsdale, so it has been a hectic two weeks. I’ll still comment on blogs, though. 🙂
