Pumpkins! Is it possible to get tired of them?
Another favourite of mine this season is pomegranate! I love everything about it: colour, shape, taste, without saying that it’s loaded in vitamins and antioxidants. Eating a few seeds of it per day is a great way to be kind to our body and to lift our moody! Who doesn’t like to pick seed by seed, take into the mouth and savour the luscious taste of them?
We have a pomegranate tree in our garden, but it’s not produced any fruit as yet. Probably too cold for it to do so. The leaves on it are a beautiful colour, though.
I like to scope out the pomegranate seeds and add them to other fresh fruit, Elizabeth.

Oh! A pomegranate tree in your own garden! This is wonderful! I’ve never seen one. We don’t have them here in Canada, they are imported only at this time of the year. Be patient, maybe one day you will have beautiful fruits in your garden.

I just made roast pumpkin and carrot soup for a photograph 🤣 then we had it for lunch, very yummy. I loved picking pomegranate seeds out with a sewing needle when I was a kid.

I agree. Pumpkins are comforting and warming in soups and stews, and pomegranates bright and refreshing.

You’ve reminded me of my childhood – we used to eat them with a bead topped sewing pin.
