Tanka Tuesday: Comfort

Good morning! It’s another Tuesday, time for some poetry. It’s raining, but not normal rain, it’s ice rain. The school buses have been canceled, but I need to go to work. Waiting a little bit, not sure if it will get worse or better, but now I want to enjoy a cup of coffee and poetry before venturing out into the wild weather.

Today’s words are Meaning and Passion, but synonyms! Of course, I’ve chosen Haiga again!

The sense of bare trees
Listening and whispering
Warmth of my being

Have a lovely day!

Sunday Stills: Frozen River

Today, Terri asks us to post about Frozen, an easy theme for me. I only need to cross a street to take a few pics of a frozen river. Many pretty spots to shoot, but this one above is magical, an ice sculpture!

This corner was sparking while being bathed with sunshine. I stopped there a little bit, a few minutes of solitude listening to the water move under the ice.

And on the way, I found this piece of ice shaped like a heart. Yes, secret messages everywhere.

Hope you enjoyed to walk along the frozen river with me.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Tanka Tuesday: Snowing

Colleen has added another form of poetry to the challenge, Haiga! A combination of poetry and image. I love it because I can incorporate 2 of my favorite forms of creative together: photography and poetry.

Haiga is sometimes called observational poetry because it contains an image with either a haiku or senryu written on it or near it.

Being the first Tuesday of the month, we get to choose our own words for the challenge, I’ve chosen Earth and Soul.

Flakes kissing the Earth
A moment to be treasured
Softness for the Soul

Hope you enjoy my first Haiga, and if you want to know more about it, please check Colleen’s post here.

Sunday Stills: Earth’s fire

my first tulips of 2019

I enjoyed so much to join Sunday Stills with Hugh these last 2 Sundays, that I decided to keep up with Terri’s Sunday Stills Photo Challenge.

Today’s theme is Fire.

The first thing that came to my mind was the Earth’s fire, the Earth core where the temperature is similar to the temperature in the surface of the sun, around 6000 Celsius! It isn’t a fire in there, but a metal combination that makes the heat.

We are in the middle of the winter in the North Hemisphere, soon the spring will spring, a sign that the Earth is alive and the fire still keeps burning.

Have a great Sunday!
