Nurturing Thursday # 9

“Give your stress wings, and let it fly away. ”

Terri Guillemets

November hasn’t been an easy month for me, thanks goodness, today is the last day of it. Looking forward for a great December with lots of mindful work and grounding. Hoping to return to the gym for spin classes and resuming my morning yoga and meditation. Little things that really make a difference, they make a better person to me, and to others around me as well.

Hope you have a great day and a wonderful new month ahead.

Mercy :: Anne Lamott’s book

mercy photo

When I heard the word ‘mercy‘ the first thing that comes to my mind is this book. Anne’s goes dip into the subject of forgiveness and mercy. I’ve almost of all her books and I love them. I don’t keep lots of books, I read, make notes of what has spoken to me and I donate them. But few books I cherish and they are a reference to me, I always go back to check something or to randomly open and see which secret message it has for me.

“The message of mercy is … that it goes hand in hand with forgiveness”

Sludge: first snow fall

Yesterday we had our first snowfall for this season, so lovely to watch the snowflakes reaching the ground. Of course, the first snowfall and the first week of snow are magical, but as the time goes by it becomes very difficult to accept the heavy snow that accumulates on the streets and sidewalks. Here is an acrostic poem for you.

Snow

Lovely and magical

Unbelievable the softness and design

Demanding all the attention to drive and walk

Gear up and go out

Enjoy the outdoors before the sludge shows up
