an inner child is playing and waiting the wonder of possibilities joyfully new beginners, dreams the innocent side of youth is plenty at the view there is emptiness to be filled, joy until when the time flows
Sharing with Tanka Tuesday – poets choice of words: I’ve chosen child and joy and the form is Etheree.
Hope is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune without the words, And never stops at all, And sweetest in the gale is heard; And sore must be the storm That could abash the little bird That kept so many warm. I’ve heard it in the chillest land, And on the strangest sea; Yet, never, in extremity, It asked a crumb of me.
Emily Dickinson lived all her life in Massachusetts, USA. Never traveled far, but her words took flight and her poems are known all over the world. My favorite is this one above. I wonder if she could imagine that after centuries her words will still be traveling and touching the soul of many people.
Today’s word for Sunday Stills is flight, so nothing better than feathers and a poem about feathers to make our imagination fly away.
Since today is a full moon, my poem has to be about her. I was waiting for the moon to rise and take the photo for the post. This moon is a supermoon and is called a snow moon.
View from my kitchen at 7 pm eastern time
Letting go of the sacred innocence the soothing music of the forest in the dark February sky bathed in flower essence and dressed in a silver dress distressed wolves howling full snow moon blooms she is bold desired joy
The words for today are game and trouble so I’ve chosen bold and distressed as synonyms. I’m using the Etheree form of poetry.
Good morning! It’s another Tuesday, time for some poetry. It’s raining, but not normal rain, it’s ice rain. The school buses have been canceled, but I need to go to work. Waiting a little bit, not sure if it will get worse or better, but now I want to enjoy a cup of coffee and poetry before venturing out into the wild weather.
Today’s words are Meaning and Passion, but synonyms! Of course, I’ve chosen Haiga again!
The sense of bare trees Listening and whispering Warmth of my being
Colleen has added another form of poetry to the challenge, Haiga! A combination of poetry and image. I love it because I can incorporate 2 of my favorite forms of creative together: photography and poetry.
Haiga is sometimes called observational poetry because it contains an image with either a haiku or senryu written on it or near it.

Being the first Tuesday of the month, we get to choose our own words for the challenge, I’ve chosen Earth and Soul.
Flakes kissing the Earth A moment to be treasured Softness for the Soul
Hope you enjoy my first Haiga, and if you want to know more about it, please check Colleen’s post here.
I took this photo yesterday when leaving work, a storm was approaching and everyone was in hurry to get back home. The moment was so precious, I felt the lightness in the air, I took my time, slowly savoring the moment, step by step, taking photos, no hurry.
If light is in your heart, you will find your way home
Rumi
Hugh asks us to close our eyes and see the darkness. Yes, there is darkness, but as Rumi said, there is light too. Somedays this light is weak and the darkness takes over bringing out all the nightmares that were hidden in the past. I’m learning to keep the flame of my internal candle burning and when I close my eyes I feel stillness and safety.
How are you doing my friends? I feel the tension in the air, everybody is busy and in hurry trying to finish up things and get others ready for the holidays.
Slow down, take a deep breath and smile. Reading some poetry before starting the day helps too. Writing is the best, only a few pages to organize your ideas and bring your focus back to what is important and what this season is about.
