Unpleasant companion
heavy hands on my back
crashes me down
crushing my soul
Happiness knocks
don’t answer
is your advice
keep quiet
Carrying the past
dumping it on my path
always
suffocating my dreams
your grey veil
winds up my stillness
swirling me up
catching me
as the years go by
my body ages
your strength increases
holding me tight

It’s how a feel sometimes, almost all the time. Thanks for being a witness.
