Relax. Pockets of ‘me time’ during the day, sometimes not easy to find room for self-care in the middle of the daily business, but it’s a must to be able to do so. Early ‘me time’ sometimes starts with morning pages and a cup of coffee, other times it starts with a run by the river.

Either way, these are moments for relaxing and organizing my thoughts before getting ready for the day. As an introvert, it isn’t easy to be in contact with people and socializing at the work place. I need down time, to think and recharge.
Your calm mind is the ultimate weapon against your challenges.

My garden is my private paradise. Taking care and admiring the flowers and the vegetables or just sitting down and looking at the sky and feeling the breeze washing over my face and my hair. When at home I make sure I have a garden walk at least 3 times per day, generally after each meal.

Nothing more relaxing than spending a hot summer afternoon with a book and a refreshing drink.
Ah! There is nothing like staying at home, for real comfort.

Sharing with WQWWC, this week’s theme is Relax. And you? What you do to relax during the summer?
Tranquil place to relax.

It’s so true, there has to be time set aside to regroup our bodies, mind and spirit.
You have a lovely garden to find quiet in.
Namaste,

Liz, I love your journal. The picture glued in it makes it so personal and shows care. You have inspired me. I’d be embarrassed to show my journal right now. I have written so much about journaling, and my journal is an extension of my brain and my life, just as my blog is. I don’t take the time on it, though, to make it a piece of art and I like that about yours. 🙂 Your garden has that same kind of care attached to it. Very calming. Thanks for joining in this week. I love your post. 🙂

Glad I’ve inspired you! All my pages have some kind of decoration, generally magazines images, or just a piece of washi tape. It’s another form of expressing my feelings at the moment of writing. Thanks! 🙂

Yes, time to relax and read is so important, especially when everything else crowds in. Blogging is relaxing too 🙂

Wow, it seems like you have your self-care routine on point. My form of self care is ensuring that I’ve taken care of what I need, such as food prep, exercise, and writing. If I don’t do those things (despite feeling the resistance at first), I’ll feel a bit off and my day won’t be as good. Anyway, thanks for this post!

Hi Stuart, your self care routine is great too. Food prep, exercise and writing, those are enough to keep the mind and the body in shape. Thank you for visiting! 🙂
