This week’s theme for WQWWC is vacation, well for a long time I haven’t had a vacation. I mean going out in the world and trying new things. It was impossible to travel last year, and I don’t think it will be different this summer. So, my best option is to travel inside my province.
It isn’t how much time you spend somewhere that makes it memorable: it’s how you spend the time.

I’m also planning on a staycation! My city has many parks and downtown has lots of nice spots for exploring. I want to walk on the streets and take photos of buildings and people for practicing my photography skills.
If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.
Napoleon Hill
Being at home and doing nothing with a schedule is another thing I’m looking forward to. I’m craving free time to work on my journals and paintings. I’ve a few unfinished projects I started last year while in quarantine that I want to finish.

The most important part of a vacation is being away from the daily routine. It’s refreshing for the mind!
Enjoy the vacation without going; enjoy the conversation without talking.

Ooooo I love all those quotes! Staycations are great as long as you’re intentional. We did one a few years ago.

There are many spots around here, I pass by them everyday by car, and I always say I should stop and take a photo. So, I think it’s time I go out only for taking the photos.

Time away is important to many of us – and to think how much of that was limited in the past 18 months. However, there are many gems close to each of us that we may not have taken advantage of what they offer. Enjoy your time!

Hi Frank, I think the teaching of these last few months is all about adaptation. Since making my own bread to take advantage of the stuff that is close to our hands. Have a great summer!

I’ll try to take a few days off and walk around downtown, I want to explore the architecture, there are many old buildings and now with lots of business closed it will be easy to take photos. Thanks for the lovely comment.

What a nice collection of quotes there. I particularly love the Napoleon Hill one. Sometimes doing things well is what we need to feel better about ourselves. Thanks for this post!

My husband and I both received the vaccine, but now the new COVID variant is out, and I am not all that comfortable being with others. Especially as you don’t know who’s vaxxed and who’s not. Daytrips closer to home sound good to me!

Yes, Lois! I agree, it’s better to still keep distance and at home most of the time, these variants are scary.
