Past Present The plain truth Moment between Waiting for a sign Tears turned out diamonds In the middle of the fog She knows, the mirror does not lie Scars are embroidered into laces The exhausting cries now sound like a valse
I’ve chosen the theme for this week’s Tanka Tuesday Challenge: The day after. With many things going on in this world right now, that I thought we should look ahead a little bit and maybe see some light.
Ah had to look up ‘valse’….
I like to look at Bil Keenes quote that I stitched up for my MIL, and got back when she passed:
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift, that’s why they call it the present”
We can only move forward one day at a time. And when we add a smile, even when it is raining the day can bring us a few unexpected gems.

Hi Jules, yes you are right, one day at time. It’s not easy when we think that we should have taken the other path. I guess, we need to keep going. 😉
