Walking along by the river
I spotted this light pole
Standing still, strong
Undisturbed by the snowstorm
Nobody, nothing can break its peace
I took my gloves off and snapped a photo
To take back home
Just as a reminder
The Winter blues are here
Disturbing inner peace
Hold on tight to yourself

I also had a touch of the winter blues yesterday, but it’s sunny and bright today, and I am feeling much better. Hoping you are too 💙

It was dark and rainy today, but that was all right because it was a quiet and peaceful day. I didn’t have much to do besides a practice race on the rowing machine, which went pretty well.

Nice poem, Elizabeth. ❄️ The poem and photo were worth taking your gloves off for. 💙

Our inner light dims during winter. It can be challenging as we wait for spring..

Elizabeth,
Your imagery of the resilient light pole amidst the snowstorm beautifully captures the theme of steadfastness and tranquility in the face of external challenges. Beautiful ❤
