selfish on her grace she's capricious each moment a trap for the eyes
Tanka Tuesday this week invites us to play with words. I love to write found poetry, and this is similar. She gave us a list of words to pick three or more and write a poem. I’ve chosen: selfish, capricious and trap. These beautiful yellow flowers are in a pot on my desk, I’m enchanted by their beauty, so this poem is for them. The words are below, why don’t you give it a try?

I love that your poem describes both the flowers and a woman. Great poem, Elizabeth!

Hi Yvette, I visited your blog earlier and again I could leave my comment! Your poem is beautiful, and the full moon has the same power on me, I couldn’t sleep last night, as usual when it is full moon.

I’m still trying to figure that one out, Elizabeth. Someone else told me they had to clear their history and then they were able to leave a comment. I’m not sure why that is happening. Thank you for your kind words. My sister is also affected by the full moon. We are the sensitive souls that feel the energy around us, and the moon loves to play with our sleep. Lol!

Next time I’ll clear the history and see if works on my side. Yes, the moon is indeed playful!

They are inspiring! I was admiring them again this morning, they are still beautiful after 1 week I brought them home.

Yes, Lois! I couldn’t resist at the grocery store, so much grey around here, these yellow beauties are brightening my day.

The flowers are tantalizing and I can see why you were inspired to write a poem about them.
