W3 – II. Svenja’s prompt: Double Tetractys
This week, write a Double Tetractys — a 10-line poem with a fixed syllable pattern.
Theme: something spicy or a little naughty. Keep it suggestive rather than explicit. Let tension, humor, and implication do the work.

Elizabeth — “moderation is the key” stands out to me against “food / always / everywhere.” I like that tension between appetite and discipline!

I should copy this and hang on my fridge! It’s difficult to resist, but we must!

Hehe! Yeah I know. It isn’t the refrigerator that is my downfall but the pantry with all the snacks!

Great poem, Svenja! I gained a lot of weight with menopause and am currently on a journey to rid my bones of the burden it’s carrying.

Hi Yvette, Elizabeth here 🙂 Yes, one of the problems of being overweight is the burden for the bones. It’s difficult to resist to all the yummy food out there, but we must try!

I’m a little saddened at my recent rising intolerance to beer and spicy food! But also feeling a lot better for cutting down on them (well the beer at least!).

I know, it’s so difficult to cut stuff we like from our diet, but the award is better. Good job cutting down the beer!
