W3 prompt this week is: Write a poem of any style and any length on the topic of “Power.” I have written an acrostic poem about the power of journaling.

I’ve been journaling for 10 years. I remember the first time I put a pen to a blank page, it was in September, later in the afternoon, the autumn sunset bathed my living room. I got a piece of paper and a pen, leftovers of my kids homework. I started jotting down ideas, a little while those ideas transformed into deep thoughts, a yes, like magic, everything clarified in my mind.

Since then I have filled up many notebooks with my thoughts. I started getting fancy and buying beautiful journals with soft pages and pens that glide on each line or dot. Now I prefer dotted pages rather than lined ones.

Journaling is powerful!

    1. Thanks so much, Sylvia! Glad you liked it, the prompt is great. I’ve a digital journal too, but I really like the feeling of the pen on the paper. I guess that what matter is giving freedom to our thoughts one way or another. 🙂

  1. Journalling, morning pages, diaries, doodling – all very helpful therapies and processing tools. Wonderful to see your creativity!! I often say to folk that I cannot think properly without a pen and paper – it is true. Bless you.

Elizabeth ~ I am SO with you… I don’t quite remember when I first took up the pen to journal, but it’s been incredibly helpful to me! Although – most of mine is on a computer, rather than a physical notebook… But, yes, it’s incredibly powerful.

    Much love,
    David

    1. It’s a simple act, but very powerful! I imagine how much money I have saved by journaling instead of doing therapy. Both forms, pen/paper or digital work perfectly, what matters if the act of journaling. Love to you too! 🙂
