Abstraction allows man to see with his mind what he cannot see physically with his eyes….Abstract art enables the artist to perceive beyond the tangible, to extract the infinite out of the finite. It is the emancipation of the mind. It is an exploration into unknown areas.
Arshile Gorky
All long of the years I’ve defined my style for photography and art in general. Abstract images have called my attention while I’m using Instagram, Pinterest, or visiting galleries and museums. I’ve resisted working with this kind of images, insecurity could be the reason behind my resistance.
I’ve tried to please people for so long that I’ve forgotten how I can please myself, my eyes and my mind. I need to do what I think is right and what makes me complete. Art is a form of expression and I believe each one sees what needs to be seen when looking at a piece of art.
Art has a voice – let it speak.
Rochelle Carr
I’m giving permission to myself to speak through my art.
I’d love to know what do you think about abstract art, I know it’s not for everyone, please leave your thoughts in the comments.
Have a great week!
E.

I absolutely love abstract photography. I love feeling something when I see a photograph verse just seeing what it is. Your photography is great!

I love these abstract photos. I learned a while back that you can’t please everyone. If you like it and it speaks to you than you’ve accomplished something special.

You are right, not everyone can be pleased, so it’s better to please ourselves!

Hi Elizabeth, your photos are a good reminder that nature is full of small details, which only come clear when we take the time to focus on them. 🙂

Hi Meg, isn’t it? We see and admire so many things when we allow us time to focus on the little things around us.
