It looks like a prickly pear but I’m not sure. I spotted that little ant instantly. I hope he doesn’t eat up all of the fruit if it’s edible. It will definite be hard to pick. ~~~ : -)

It’s not a prickly pear, at least not the ones I know, seems to be filled with air like a balloon.

Reminds me of those man-eating plants from Day Of The Triffids, Elizabeth. Keep an eye on them, and run if they start moving towards you.

Great picture. Looks like a seed pod to me. The leaves look familiar. Reminds me of a Euphorbia but the pods are not right for that. It might come back to me!
