We love pomegranate in my home, we all like to eat it, but hubby is the only one that likes to open this winsome fruit and remove the edible seeds.
The season of pomegranate here in my city lasts from November to January, during this period we eat one or two per evening.
The legend says that in each fruit there is one seed that came directly from heaven, and it’s good luck to the person that eats it. Others say that it was pomegranate, not apple, that Eve offered to Adam.
There are many stories about this fruit, but what I know for sure is that it is delicious and healthy, each seed is loaded with antioxidants and vitamins.
Love this fruit.

We too love it. It is also called “super food” due to antioxidant activity.

It’s good to eat before and after exercising because of the antioxidants. 🙂

Would you believe, I haven’t tasted pomegranate yet. We don’t have it here in our area.

It’s interesting of how a fruit, a scent can take us back in time.

For me, the scent is pipe tobacco and my grandfathers.

I always buy the whole fruit, but I’ve never tried to take the seeds myself, I’m lucky that hubby enjoys this job!

I love pomegranates, although I do cheat and buy them in tubs so they’ve already been scooped out. Is there a way of knowing which seed is the lucky one?

I’m lucky that hubby enjoys scooping the seeds out. I don’t think we can find out the lucky one, so we eat all of them! 🙂

Thanks, dear, but why does it frustrate you? Maybe you can get them in tubs and add to yogurt, salads…, 🙂
